E-waste collection in Kochi
Kochi generates more office e-waste than anywhere else in Kerala, and that is most of what we come here for.
We travel to Kochi from our base in Kottayam, roughly two hours away. Free collection · no charge for coming to you.
What we collect in Kochi
Kochi is the one part of Kerala where the work is mostly commercial rather than household. Infopark and the offices around Kakkanad retire IT equipment in batches — forty laptops at a time, not one — and that is a different job from a domestic pickup. It needs the right vehicle, enough people, a GST invoice, and usually a conversation about what happens to the drives.
For those jobs we destroy drives physically and you are welcome to watch it happen before the rest of the machine leaves your building. A wipe asks you to trust software on hardware you no longer own; a destroyed platter does not.
Household pickups in Ernakulam we handle too, though for a single small item we may hold it until our vehicle is next in the area rather than send one out. We will tell you that honestly when you book instead of cancelling quietly a week later.
How it works
You book with a phone number and an address — no account needed. We confirm a day, come to you, and weigh everything in front of you on a calibrated scale. You see the category, the weight and the arithmetic before any money changes hands, and you are paid at the door, before the vehicle leaves.
If it does not work any more, that is fine. Most of what we collect is broken. Working condition changes what it is worth, not whether we will take it.
Areas we cover around Kochi
Not on the list? We collect across Kerala — for bulk we will come anywhere in the state. Ask and we will tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense.
For businesses in Kochi
Offices, hospitals, institutions and factories get a written record of every collection — category, weight, date, vehicle — plus GST invoicing and, where you want it, physical destruction of drives that you can stand and watch.
Under the E-Waste (Management) Rules 2022 a bulk consumer must hand e-waste only to a registered recycler. Here is what those rules actually require of your company ›
Where it goes afterwards
Everything we collect in Kochi is delivered to Sahya Solutions, our sister concern in Idukki — CPCB Recycler ID 5238, authorised by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board to dismantle and recycle 14,965 tonnes a year. Nothing goes to landfill and nothing is stripped informally.
Eco Friendly Solutions operates under a KSPCB Consent to Operate and has been collecting since 2019. Copies of any document are yours on request.
