Collecting e-waste across Kerala since 2019
We are an authorised e-waste collector. We come to you, weigh what you have, pay you for it, and hand it to a CPCB-registered recycler. Every number on this page can be checked against a government register.

How we started
Eco Friendly Solutions began in the middle of 2019. The problem we set out to solve was not a shortage of scrap dealers — Kerala has plenty. It was that almost none of what they collected reached an authorised recycler, and nobody could prove where anything ended up.
So we built the boring part: a consent from the Pollution Control Board, a facility that stores material the way the Rules require, written records of every load, and a registered recycler at the end of the chain. That is what lets us give a customer a document they can show an auditor.
Where we operate
Five collection centres, in Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod, with sub-agencies across the state. We collect in all fourteen districts of Kerala.
We work under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, which replaced the 2016 Rules on 1 April 2023. If you are a business wondering what those Rules actually require of you, we wrote a plain-English guide.
What we do
- Collect from households, bulk consumers, IT dealers and the informal sector, recording each transaction in the e-waste manifest the Rules require (Rule 19, Form 6).
- Store in compliance with CPCB guidelines, segregated and under cover.
- Transfer to authorised recyclers, so that producers can use the material against their EPR obligations.
- Report to the State Pollution Control Board on the material handled at the facility.
- Train our own staff and the workers who handle the material, on segregation, safe handling and stock management.
Our team includes certified Green Champions, trained under the awareness programme run by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
Who runs it
Faisal Kannamparambil, Managing Director, has spent his working life in waste management and represents the sector nationally as well as in Kerala.
