After you book
Pack it, weigh it, measure it
Once you have booked a pickup, please pack your e-waste in a box and tell us its weight and size. It takes ten minutes, and it lets us plan the pickup and choose the cheapest way to collect it — our own vehicle or a courier we book for you.
How to pack
- Use one strong box, the smallest one it fits in. Couriers charge by weight or box size, whichever is more. Empty space costs money.
- Pack it tight. Fill every gap with newspaper, old cloth or bubble wrap. Shake the box — nothing should move or rattle.
- Protect screens and glass. Wrap them in cloth or bubble wrap, screen facing inward, away from the sides of the box.
- Leave batteries inside the device. Phones and laptops can go as they are. Loose or damaged batteries need separate handling — tell us about them.
- Seal it. Strong packing tape on every seam, across the top and bottom in an H shape.
- Write your booking ID (for example EFS-123456) in large letters on the top.
- Keep each box under 25 kg. Heavier than that? Use two boxes.
Please do not pack
- Swollen, leaking or damaged batteries
- Liquids, oil or gas cylinders
- Loose broken glass (old TV tubes, broken screens)
- Anything that is not e-waste
How to measure and weigh
- Measure after packing and taping, on the outside of the box, in centimetres. Round up to the next whole centimetre.
- Length is the longest side, then width, then height.
- Weigh it on a home scale: stand on the scale holding the box, then without it. The difference is the box weight.
- More than one box? Give the size of the biggest box, the total weight and the number of boxes.
What will the courier charge on?
Couriers use the box size too: length × width × height ÷ 5000. They charge on whichever is more.
Then tell us
Open the app, tap My pickups, enter your mobile number and booking ID, and fill in the box details. We take it from there and message you the pickup date. You never pay the courier yourself when we arrange the pickup.
